About Me 1

I was fascinated by the constant pursuit of excellence.

My story is intricately tied to one of the most demanding team sports out there. Yes, I earned a spot on the 2016 Olympic roster and competed for Team USA, but it wasn’t always that way. It all started when I was 14 years old in Seattle. I tried most other sports but was drawn to rowing because of the balance between extreme personal exertion and harmonious synchronicity with a team. Rowing is intensely physical, incredibly technical and wildly emotional. One misstep and you hand your arch rival the win. One missed session in February puts you a boat length behind at the June championship. One frustrated teammate and the tension in the boat is palpable.
About Me 2

SEARCHING FOR MY NEXT CLIMB,I FOUND REAL ESTATE.

Rowing is a sport for dedicated individuals who can keep their heads in the game long enough to get close. Once I retired from elite competition, I was looking for a career where I could use the skills I had refined over the last decade. That's how I landed in luxury real estate.
About Me 3

I thrive in pressure-filled situations.

Like the final at the Olympic Games, a year of preparation comes down to a five and a half minute race. In real estate, the negotiation for what could be the biggest decision of your life comes down to a few hours - or sometimes minutes. A rogue wave or early onset of fatigue in a race might derail your initial plan, but knowing what to do once that happens is where championships are won and lost. Success in a pressure filled moment requires strategic preparation, swift responses and high level execution. Having someone on your team who studies the market, rehearses scenarios ahead of time and has a track record of success gives you a strategic advantage in a dynamic marketplace.
About Me 4
I spent over a decade attempting to take the perfect stroke. And while I may not have achieved that feat, I did learn what it takes to get close. Being a successful agent in this marketplace requires striving for excellence, working seamlessly with your team and remaining focused on the end result. When looking for someone to give you the best possible result, you won’t find a more responsive, strategic, knowledge or trustworthy agent out there! Having someone on your team who studies the market, rehearses scenarios ahead of time and has a track record of success gives you a strategic advantage in a dynamic marketplace.

What Others Say

"Hans kept in regular contact with me and my assistant. I received regular emails on the renovation, his marketing efforts and the variety of issues that come up when selling a home. Hans was always courteous, provided all the information I required in order to make a timely decision, and was equanimous with the delays associated with an out of state seller. What really set Hans apart from other agents I've worked with was his attention to the marketing and research. Prior to placing the house on the market, Hans internally alerted his geographic network to the house coming on the market and connected with the almost 60 agent/brokers who transacted business in that neighborhood to inform them of the property's availability. All this prep and marketing led to a number of requests for information prior to going on market and a very quick sale for asking.Hans Struzyna made my job as a trustee easier by being a proactive and conscientious agent during this process. I will use him again.”

“Hans helped us buy a property in a for-sale-by-owner situation. It was complicated for many reasons and Hans went above and beyond to provide us with excellent support and service. He focused on keeping us protective and was available as needed. He was caring, respectful, and wasn't afraid to offer  his perspective.”
Benjamin H., Oakland

“Hans is also very thoughtful and made sure we were comfortable at every step. I would highly recommend Hans. A bonus is that he knows the neighborhoods very well and seems to enjoy what he does. We would work with him again in a heartbeat!”

"I worked with Hans Struzyna to sell a home that I managed as a trustee.  A colleague recommended Hans for his attention to detail, ability to manage a renovation project and familiarity with trust sales.  I say this without reservation: Hans was amazing. As I was out of state, Hans managed the  modest renovation project to get the house in sell able condition.  He oversaw the entire project inclusive of vetting contractors proposals and confirming work performed to specifications. He ensured the property was painted and staged appropriately.”
